The In-Between: A Home, a Haven

“Hope is the thing without feathers,” Dickinson writes. I understand what it means now.

Hope is like a flightless bird because while it lifts your spirits, it cannot fly; it is just a concept. But it is also a feeling.

Something that can make a person soar—soar past barriers, difficult feelings, and impossible odds. Soar past heartbreak, unavailable love, and illusions that trap anyone.

No dream is made without hope, paired with a strong sense of reality. It’s paradoxical, but that’s how it works. The two come together to bring dreams to life. Hope and reality give wishes to the wise, loving pregnant men and women who understand what true magic is.

It is all of us dreaming within the dream we call life and shaping those dreams based on the reality we experience.

Our true nature is as creators.

Nothing valuable has been handed to us; it’s been created—by someone’s hopeful and realistic magic. So, I can’t forget to look around at this huge world we’ve built together.

This dream we’ve made.

Yes, there are some nightmares. And we live like flightless birds, unable to escape them. But hope can change the dream. We can tune into a better frequency, concept, or perspective. Every idea has a space between its meaning and its assigned word; the in-between space remains uncharted.

It is a space for flightless birds. For the brave souls willing to embrace uncertainty, there is hope that something magical can be created to bridge the gaps between intersections. A space for any Jackson Pollock to paint the world intuitively, celebrating the beauty of making a mess in the process.

In pursuit of steadiness, one thought at a time,
